HOT GIN TERRACE
Following the success of last year’s Hot Gin Terrace this winter, our State Buildings Bar Manager, Matt Bodycoat teams up with Archie Rose Distilling Co., for a sensory gin adventure to warm the spirit.
Descend into our basement playground and gather around the fire pit for gin-based cocktails, heated with a red hot poker!
Inspired by an intriguing tradition from the history books, specially forged instruments crafted by blacksmiths otherwise known as a ‘loggerhead’ are plunged straight from the burning flames and into the alcohol, caramelising the sugars, causing the cocktail to bubble and steam, and creating a myriad of deliciously warming aromas.
This indulgent cosy courtyard cocktail experience comes complete with heaters and hot water bottles to keep you warm and toasty.

Ticket includes a hot G&T on arrival, followed by your choice of a signature hot gin cocktail. Spicy snacks will also be available for purchase.
